I am a marketing manager and content strategist working professionally since 2017. I have extensive skills and experience in marketing management, content strategy, search engine optimisation and growth marketing. However, my recent escapades have leaned more towards marketing strategy, systemic marketing, neuromarketing, deep data analysis, syndication and marketing research. I am known to have an uncommon approach to planning marketing strategies. I tend to make irrational decisions to stand out among the competition. I may not follow common marketing rules, but what I do has brought about a lot of changes!
Beyond Mainstream Marketing
I had my fair share of following marketing textbooks. I still do. I still employ several common marketing methodologies when I plan strategies. But what I found to be particularly effective in delivering astonishing KPIs was making irrational and uncommon decisions before, during and after planning marketing strategies. I like to call this “going beyond mainstream marketing!”
Systemic Marketing
Separating branches of marketing into independent teams and projects is a huge mistake. But no one seems to take it seriously. Marketing is a comprehensive machine with several bits & pieces that work in harmony. Ever since I started viewing marketing as one entity, I’ve always seen great returns and conversions. I prioritise systemic marketing when I plan strategies, even for small projects, because I believe, it will be the cornerstone of every strategy in the near future and I always want to be a few steps ahead of the competition.
Content Syndication
When it comes to content marketing, the old recipe of “publish helpful, unique content on your website and pray to Google’s Gods for high ranks” doesn’t work anymore. With the constant Google Core updates and strange AI algorithms that decide on rankings, content distribution is as important as the helpful content itself. Intricate content syndication and large website networks have never failed me. I spend hours designing complex website networks that boost content and raise brand awareness without suffering those consequences we all fear of.
Deep Data Analysis
Data is king. Every marketer knows this phrase. It is the most crucial element in marketing, from initial planning phases all the way to implementation and optimisation. When I run a digital marketing campaign, I ensure to track as many metrics as I can to super-optimise every aspect of the marketing materials & copies. Thanks to the miracle of AI, cross-analysis of hundreds of variables has never been easier. This level of data analysis has enabled me to gain a deep insight into how a user converts into a client and plan strategies with high conversions.
Neuromarketing
You can’t ignore it. Despite the practice being banned in several countries, neuromarketing is still etched in the foundations of every marketing strategy. All we do is optimise and test copies, designs, graphics, colours, UIs, scents and sounds to get more users to respond to a “Call to Action”, don’t we? Isn’t manipulation and predatory in nature? Isn’t it, in its roots, a form of neuromarketing? Regardless of regulations and ethics, marketing leverages psychological principles and human behaviour to influence decision-making process. So, don’t ignore it!
